The Icon Tour, catering to a very niche audience, arrived in Flower Dome Gardens by the Bay, Singapore, (Tokyo, Hong Kong and Seoul thereafter) as part of its Asian tour and left in a matter of two days. It is an extensive $1-million exhibition to commemorate its rich 110 years of iconic motoring and contemporary luxury history. A one-of-its-kind exhibition that takes you on a journey of timeless design, exquisite craftsmanship and visionary engineering of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
With new products like the sportier Wraith coupe and Ghost saloon, Rolls-Royce believes this is the correct time and place to connect with a new and younger audience.
First in the superstar line-up was Rolls-Royces' flagship model, the Phantom Series II, boasting a 453 bhp, 720Nm of torque, 6.7L V12 NA engine with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission that makes the car accelerate to speed like a jetliner taking flight. Century sprint done in 5.9 seconds. Tagline: Born out of the desire to create the best car in the world.
Next in the line-up is the Ghost V-Specification, presented in Singapore for the very first time. It boasts a 593bhp (780Nm of torque) effortless 6.6L V12 NA engine, delivering acceleration of 0-100km/h in a mere 4.9 seconds. It is the most powerful 4-door saloons in the entire Roll-Royce range.Tagline: The power of simplicity.
Last but not least, the youngest and most contemporary breed in the family has to be the Roll-Royce Wraith, the gentleman's grand tourer. The 2-door fastback is the most powerful motor car the company has ever built. It harnesses 624bhp and 800Nm of torque from a 6.6L V12 NA engine, hitting 100 km/h from rest in 4.6 seconds. Artisans from Goodwood, the home of Rolls-Royce in England, showcased their talented skills, handcrafting rich leather hides and flawless wood veneers that create these distinctive cars live. Mirroring the excellent craftsmanship, an exclusive collection of travel and lifestyle for both men and women such as leather products, cufflinks, pens and scale models were also available for sale for the first time to the public.
