The 458 Italia model celebrates her 10th year since her inception and still looks fantastically fresh - on track to be a timeless beauty. We took advantage of the light traffic before "circuit breaker" to capture all things beautiful in and around town.

You can find true-blue Italian engineering and Michael Schumacher's intimate influence on the development of the Ferrari 430 Scuderia - Tightened & stripped, with a more sophisticated computer system than the normal F430 - Translating to a machine bound for the track.

We are of course, very excited to shoot one of the very last few units on this island.

Once in a while, a high powered car comes along for a shoot and we had no reason not to oblige. Here's the F430 in its unmistakable Ferrari red, shot right in the middle of a heavy and dense downtown core district of Singapore.

The mean white machines were gathered here at the Float but the star for the morning was Novitec Rosso Ferrari 458 Italia. Posing alongside was industry veteran model Vanessa who has also posed in some of our previous shoots.

Our client this time, Ankit, has engaged us to help him create a series of shots for his personal portfolio. And with kind courtesy of Ferrari owner James who is ever so gracious to loan his ride to us, this shoot was able to be materialised.

As far as we have shot, this is possibly one of the loudest rides we have rubbed shoulders with late last year. In fact, just a few days shy of the new year, and we didn't time on purpose such that we could literally send 2014 out with a loud (exhaust) bang.

This is an eight year old 6.0L V12 naturally aspirated stallion that doesn't look his age at all. The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano has been one of our favourite cars as far as we can remember, and like all fine wine, it is maturing into a genuine front-engine supercar. Well, not exactly front but still front enough to be considered one. To be precise, the mighty engine is positioned just behind the front axle. The owner has replaced its iconic Ferrari red with an electrifying matte blue wrap that is one of a kind in Singapore, a perfect complement to the black trims.

Like little boys, we were frenetic the moment we saw the first shot fired on our camera preview screen. The unmistakable outline of a Ferrari of this stature and expense needs presence, and the 599 does not fall short.
With florescent light from the tunnel ceiling bouncing evenly off its heavily stylised exterior, the long bonnet that stretches all the way back to the cabin and tail is even more pronounced now.

You can hear it a mile away even before seeing it. The Ferrari F430 F1 Spider, powered by a 4.3L V8 engine, produces more horsepower than four regular sedans combined. This iconic prancing horse that we are covering has been around for more than half a decade, and it still looks irresistibly... irresistible.



Wrapped in matte pearl white with subtle red trims and hints of blacked out plastics, the low-slung bodywork is simply a dashing piece of high art where form meets function in a perfect setting. We rolled along with the Spider and virtually witnessed every single matter from the tarmac shifted out of position due to the immense energy dispensing from the rear engine and exhaust system.



The heart of the F430 is displayed underneath a coffee-table like glassware, showcasing fine Italian mastery of passione and design. It is also hard to believe that the same flat-plane crank sculpture shares that intoxicating howl of high-revving notes when pushed. All these magic at just 4 Kilograms.



Pininfarina, the Italian design house of Ferrari, has been manufacturing the berlinetta (small saloon in Italian) sports cars for almost 40 years. The F430, created in collaboration with head of design, Frank Stephenson, pushed the envelope considerably from the millennium legend F360 Modena. A much sexier and more aggressive new supercar from Maranello was thus born.



When shooting the F430, nobody could fault you for occupying both lanes in a 2-lane road, travelling at the same speed and hogging traffic momentarily, while striving to capture the best shot with the desired backdrop. It must have been a visual treat for those heading for breakfast on a beautiful Saturday morning.
