Inspired by Netflix's Money Heist, we brought the shoot to another level for this Lamborghini LP700-4 in Novitec Torado kit draped in a special purple paint. First part of the shoot was done in a pitch dark car workshop and the second part, on the streets where the actual shot was completed in less than 10 minutes to avoid any curious eyes.

This 3-Seconds Club super light Italian bull was the new top model in the Gallardo lineup when she was first launched in 2010 - also the lightest back then in the Lamborghini’s range. Carbon-fiber components peppered the interior for weight saving measure. The owner of this particular unit has given it a fresh coat of satin black paint and it's oozing tons of street presence.

We picked on the chromosomes pun and named this duo "The Chrome-somes" because these two rides donning flashy anodized colours have huge racing DNAs in their lineage. To be specific, the Ducati Panigale 899 in chrome red spray versus the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 in chrome pink wrap. A superbike with incredible performance designed to dominate both track and street versus a Libertywalk + Novitec kitted supercar with a performance of epic proportions.

Some numbers to note and compare. The AWD Aventador comes with a 6.5L V12 engine and produces 700 horses at 8000 rpm and 509 pound-feet of torque at 5500 rpm, enabling it to do the century run in 2.9 seconds at an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h. It delivers a power to weight ratio of 2.25 kg per horse as compared to the superbike's 1.3 kg per horse, almost doubling it. The Panigale's Superquadro two-cylinder engine on the other hand makes 148 horses at over 10,000 rpm and produces 73 pound-feet of torque. Hypothetically, the 899 will jump off the line faster than the Aventador but it will not be able to dominate for long. Someday, we might just propose this race. Someday. You want to lead, to be the coolest, have the most charm and be simply irresistible to any gender. Everyone wants to gravitate to and look like you in every way. (That, we believe is what the owner, Chris had in mind when he decided on the choice of colour.) In this case, you will be known as Blue Steel, a famous modeling move in comedy flick, Zoolander. On the contrary, this Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 in special matte lightning blue steel wrap is definitely not to be taken lightly.

We were not joking if we told you this year's traditional 0808 rounding was an intimate experience with the Traffic Police. sgCarShooters had the privilege to be the chase car for TeamCloud9SG, an exclusive Singapore supercar group that consists of a handful of exotic rides with a few hundred horsepower to spare.

The super convoy started from the West and continued to the North before heading our way down to the South, all these while with two Traffic Police bikes right ahead of us for almost a third of the journey. We wound up the "adventure" with a friendly Traffic Police taking down our particulars for routine checks.

It was the year 2011 when Lamborghini first unveiled the Aventador LP700-4 to replace the ageing Murcielago. There were already a handful of pre-orders even before production started.

It did not come as a surprise to many, as the eyes-popping design and jaws-dropping performance swept the world off her feet. The Aventador is born into the two seconds club, responsible for donning wallpapers of car fanatics' desktops, and is also the most popular "spotted" cars on our Instagram hashtag (See #sgcarshoot link).

As we slowly uncover the bull's form factor, accompanying us for the photo shoot is Vanessa, the svelte racequeen who will be posing diligently for the camera. It is no mean feat for the angelic faced lady to manage our pose requests and sometimes, the car's difficult angles under the growing heat of the morning sun.
