2009 KIA Cerato Forte Koup 1.6 coupe
Developed under the design stewardship of Kia's German-based Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer, the Koup is the first-ever 2-door sports coupe built by the company. Ever since the Korean company started shipping Koups on to our island, it has gained much popularity due to its first impression of being handsomely sporty.
Andrew and Nadia of CeratoForteKoup.sg hooked up with sgCarShoot for a session to showcase the design masterpiece of Mr Schreyer, and how he has influenced the ever growing Koup enthusiasts in Singapore.
We kicked off with Andrew and his "Satanic Koup". A rather bold enhancement to the looks department, giving it extra personality and menace. Some named it after the "Green Hornet" but no matter what, this koup definitely stole all the glances while we were busy on the job. Special attention has also been painstakingly taken to make sure the color theme of the car is consistent throughout, from rims, sunshade to spoiler.
Next, we introduce Nadia in her white Koup with hints of lady daintiness dotted throughout. "The Koup is such a delightful vehicle to look at and to drive. Also, you can't help but be inspired by peers in the same community who have also spruced up their rides!"
2010 Mazda 3 Sedan 1.6L
It was a surprise for his birthday. The sgCarShooters were engaged for this coveted session as a gift from his girl, late into the night. The result is a stunning new Mazda 3 against a vibrant city night scene.
The 2010 Mazda 3 sedan model is in every way a beauty. As compared to the previous model, it is now sporting a wide-mouthed "grin" on its front end, a pair of four-cylinder engine, and a reputation for fun, quick handling. Naturally, the two lovebirds were settled in the spacious and new-smelling interior of the car.
1990 Nissan 180SX/Silvia 2L Turbo
Drifter and lover. Sean is probably one of the rarest breed in Singapore who owns one of the world's most iconic and favourite drifting machine in town - The Nissan Silvia. An engineer by training, Sean is natural with numbers and it helps when he is into (legal) automotive modifications to achieve an optimum output for his ride. With the help of Furukawa tuning, this car hits 394.4hp at 5933 rpm and a max. torque of 487NM @ 5297 rpm! Impressive numbers.
Oh enough said, we almost missed the point of this post! sgCarShoot was engaged by this sweet couple for part of their prewedding shoot, and it was the day when 65mm of rain fell within 30 minutes in the morning, causing the most severe flash floods downtown. The shoot went well regardless, undaunted by the freakish weather.
They had the most fun in different ways while we were busy capturing their best moments in the cooling afternoon sun...
Mitsubishi Colt Turbo 1.5L
sgCarShooters traveled to the other part of the world in this series. We hooked up with a very unusual ride this time. It is an alternatively and elaborately styled Mitsubishi Colt turbo that has numerous autostyling competition awards to its name.
Meet Charles, the man behind this set of wheels. Someone who extrudes a loud personality but is actually a very kind and humble soul. Be awed by the amount of time and money invested in modding this Colt turbo, up to the very detail of lighting up the wheel base. A bit on this car, the transversely mounted inline 4-cylinder MIVEC engine has a 1.5-litre capacity and produces no less than 154 horsepower. For a car that weighs just a ton, it is quite insane.
