2017 Audi A3 1.4 TFSI sedan

One of the more practical and compact sedan without compromise in quality. One that also transforms into a reliable workhorse come rain or shine. This handsome A3 in metallic scuba blue seems to fit the bill almost perfectly for that nippy city drive. The unsprung mass has been greatly reduced with lightweight Konig Rennform rims, Michelin PS 4 tyres and Eibach pro kit suspension system to compensate for the lower torque figures, resulting in a significantly faster getaway from rest.

2012 Audi A3 1.4 TSI

One of the more exciting C-segment cars we see today is the Audi A3 that gives consumers a sportier choice over the bread & butter cars - without breaking the bank. Here, we have one in signature Glacier White, donning subtle yet tasteful enhancements made to both interior and exterior of the car.

2013 Audi A3 1.4L Sedan

This is Sean's 4-ring A3 sedan and probably one of the most handsome looking around. Deliciously kitted with a custom bodykit, generously lowered on coils and rims perfectly upsized, his ride gives everyone the impression of a longer wheelbase, and created a wider and sportier stance for itself. Capturing cars with a low hung morning sun is every automotive photographer's web dream and the A3 looks just so good against it.

2014 Audi A3 1.4L Sedan

A Glacier White Audi A3 sedan sped graciously down the highway on a moonless night, occasionally grunting to hint at the need for a harder push on the pedal. It takes joy in acceleration and release of tensions built up in the turbocharger very much like a pressure cooker.

Yet at the same time, the new A-segment sedan prides itself in plush interior comfort and noise deadening from the outside world. Spotting a shorter but wider wheel base than a regular sedan means it can also take more punches at the steering wheel when cornering. The whole ride becomes more agile and receives more feedback from the road directly beneath.

This handsome, Bauhaus-design inspired German marque 1.4L TFSI A3 sedan may be categorised as an entry level, but everything else about it shouts premium and is equally rewarding to drive like any other Audis. No doubt on shoot location, it became the subject of second glances and admiration from passers-by.

Meet Sean, the man behind this machine. He is camera shy so there won't be any shots of him here (in case you're looking for them). However, just by looking at the tasteful "upgrades" done to his car, you can immediately relate to him as a connoisseur of style and fashion. We leave it as that to your imagination.

First up on mods, the frontal bodykit is from Rieger, complete with honeycomb front grille inscribed with QUATTRO wordings. Next, the rear end is kitted with an S3 diffuser and stock exos upgraded to a growly Remus Sport. A fine little touch of carbon fibre boot lid spoiler is added to increase the sporty draw.

They say wheels make or break the car, and a delicate subject when it comes to what rim design fits best. In this case, a set of Vertini Concave rims with JBT big brake kit from Top93 Sports Rims has totally redefined the character outlook of this Audi A3.

2013 Audi A3 Sportback‎

We scored a few goals over the weekend at the Audi A3 driving experience held in conjunction with the Audi Fashion Festival. The event was held in a huge A/C tent built specifically for that very purpose and this new hot hatch is the youngest star of the Audi family.

Audi has also commissioned students from LASALLE College of the Arts to produce original backdrop artworks the way they interpret the A3. The results were some stunning pieces put up between the beautiful rides and the Marina Bay waterway.

We ventured deeper into the holding area (A3ttraktion Zone) where we took our chances to have some fun with the zippy sportback.

The 3rd generation Audi A3 Sportback comes in two variants for now, the 1.4 TFSI and the 1.8 TFSI. First look, smart edgy angles and up-to-date refined lines that is hard to miss but getting more difficult to differentiate from other models.

Presented before us was an interactive booth that educates the audience the ins and outs of the vehicle.

They say the interior of the A3 is impressive so we stepped inside to have a closer look.

Not disappointing at all. What greeted us was a neatly arranged driver's console. The cabin is beautifully designed with high-quality materials and intuitive icons, and the ergonomic position of various switches feel premium to the skin.

The 1.4 TFSI produces a decent 120bhp and clocks slightly shy of 10 seconds from 0-100kmh, flat out.

In terms of practicality, passenger leg room and boot spaces are now surprisingly more spacious than its closest rivals of the BMW 1 series and the new Golf Mk7. This is due to a stretched wheelbase, both length and width, and seats 3 adults comfortably at the back.
